30 May 2017

Start-ups and SMEs strengthen the EU economy and help increase EU innovation, they have a direct beneficial effect on jobs and growth in the EU. For a medium size enterprise like RUCON Engineering accessing finance is a significant barrier they need to overcome. EAPB member Thüringer Aufbaubank (TAB) does not simply provide easy access to finance it is a collaborative partner creating opportunities for innovative enterprises such as RUCON Engineering.

Based in Jena (Germany), RUCON Engineering develops and produces civilian drone systems (UAV) as well as autonomous robots and robotic sensors. In recent years, RUCON Engineering has developed highly tech systems, like an air-cushion vehicle that provides valuable information for agriculture and forestry without damaging soils or plants. Like many past projects this one is also supported by TAB.

TAB will continue to support the ecosystem for start-ups and SMEs through various funding programs, helping reignite Europe’s entrepreneurial spirit while taking care of the next generation of entrepreneurs.
