The Risk tax, applied to specific credit institutions, decreased the operating profit with SEK –334.7 (-325.9) million. Kommuninvest's operating income, which is defined as operating profit excluding unrealized changes in market values, expected credit losses and risk tax, amounted to SEK 691.4 (713.0) million.

- During the past year, our business model has continued to stand strong. We are an established and long-term bond issuer in both the Swedish and foreign capital markets backed by strong owners. This means that we can ensure a very good level of lending preparedness to our customers over time, says Katarina Ljungqvist, CEO of Kommuninvest.

Lending for sustainable loan projects increased in 2024. At the end of 2024, 710 projects had been granted corresponding to SEK 126.5 (111.8) billion in Green Loans, of which SEK 91.6 (79.4) billion had been disbursed. The proportion of Green Loans in relation to Kommuninvest's total lending amounted to 17 (16) percent. Loans for Social Sustainability showed strong growth thanks to higher volumes of applications. At the end of the year, SEK 10.9 (6.7) billion in social loans had been granted, divided on 27 (20) different projects and 20 (16) members. The volume of Loans for Social Sustainability amounted to SEK 4.6 billion (2.1).

- In 2024, our sustainable loan portfolio continued to grow, and we took important steps forward in our own sustainability work. We calculated the base year value of financed greenhouse gas emissions, which gave us a starting point for emissions from our lending activities. This was the starting point for the reduction plan adopted during the year and which concretizes our ambition towards climate neutrality by 2045, says Katarina Ljungqvist, CEO of Kommuninvest.
