Vinci S.A , the subsidiary of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, will invest about PLN 10 million in Polish start-up ReSpo.Vision, which has developed an innovative model for tracking the movement of football players during a match.
The company's technology - based on AI and Computer Vision - enables advanced 3D motion tracking based on video of sports matches. The ReSpo.Vision system automatically tracks more than 50 points on the human body with precision down to centimeters - based solely on video footage from a single camera, without the need for additional sensors, GPS vests or multi-camera stadium infrastructure.
The technology is already being used today by global brands like CONCACAF (The Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Assossiation Football) and CONMEBOL, (South American soccer confederation) and in the future could be a game changer in strategic areas as well: military, medical, industrial or AR/VR.
ReSpo.Vison's existing investors include RKKVC and New York-based ffVC. They are now joined by Vinci S.A. (a BGK Group company) and Smartlink Partners.
Miroslaw Czekaj, president of BGK, notes that the investment is an example of the implementation of BGK's strategy.
The investment in ReSpo.Vision is in line with BGK's strategic goals of supporting innovative, scalable Polish technologies and building a strong knowledge-based economy. We are pleased that through Vinci we can support the development of a company that has the potential to become a global ambassador of Polish technological thought and at the same time support key areas of public security.Miroslaw Czekaj, President of the Management Board of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego.
Pawel Osterreicher, co-founder and CEO of ReSpo.Vision, notes that the company's technology was born out of a passion for sports.

ReSpo.Vision is a deep-tech startup from Warsaw that is redefining sports analytics and fan experiences through AI and Computer Vision. Founded in 2020, the team of specialists led by Pawel Osterreicher, Mateusz Szala, Wojciech Rosiński and Łukasz Grad has created a proprietary tracking system that automatically acquires precise 3D positional data from sports games - based on single-camera footage, without additional sensors and without the need to install equipment in the stadium.
