Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego has been awarded the “High Quality Employee Voluntary Service” certificate at the highest, third level. The award is given to organizations that conduct employee voluntary service in a responsible, thoughtful manner and in accordance with the best standards.
On May 21, 2025, the final gala of the 28th edition of the “Benefactor of the Year” Competition was held at the Polish Theater in Warsaw, during which the “High Quality Employee Voluntary Service” Certificate was officially presented to BGK's volunteer coordinators Adrianna Brygier and Kamila Magdziak.
The certificate is not only a prestigious award for BGK, but also a commitment to further develop volunteering as an important element of the bank's organizational culture.
Przemysław Kulik, Director of the Social Commitment Office
BGK received the certificate after a positive result of an external audit which comprehensively evaluated all volunteer activities implemented by the bank. The results of the audit were analyzed by an independent certification committee, which made the decision to award the certificate. It was composed of recognized experts in social responsibility, HR and volunteering: Prof. Aldona Gilińska-Neweś, Marek Jurkiewicz, Anna Potocka-Domin and Tomasz Schimanek. Their assessment confirmed that employee voluntary service at BGK meets the highest standards.
The certificate was awarded as part of the Pro Bono Leaders Coalition initiative - a nationwide partnership of companies and institutions that together promote and develop employee voluntary service as an important element of social responsibility. The Coalition has developed a Charter of Principles for Employee Voluntary Service and tools to support the quality and effectiveness of volunteer programmes. The Academy for the Development of Philanthropy in Poland, an independent non-governmental organization that has been working for volunteering and social involvement for more than 25 years, is responsible for coordinating the Coalition's activities and organizing the certification process.
