The funding will be allocated to R&D+i projects and the implementation of in-house artificial intelligence solutions. The Catalan telecommunications group further strengthens its leadership in digital transformation and commitment to the region.

The Catalan Finance Institute (ICF) has approved a €2.2 million loan to Parlem to boost research, development, and innovation (R&D+i) projects, as well as the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies within the Group.

This operation is part of the ICF SME Innova loans program, aimed at supporting Catalan companies that invest in innovation, digitalization, and technological development. The funds will be allocated to certified investments in high-tech projects, particularly focused on improving processes and generating new capabilities for analysis and automation through AI.

According to Parlem’s CEO, Xavier Capellades, "This funding reinforces our commitment to innovation as a driver of growth and efficiency. It will allow us to develop in-house AI-based solutions, improve internal processes, and continue offering a more personalized and distinctive customer experience."

For Vanessa Servera, CEO of ICF, "This is another example of the kind of projects we want to promote from public development banking through ICF SME Innova loans. ICF is always by the side of Catalan companies when it comes to generating innovation and technology that help grow our business fabric in a more competitive environment."

The granting of this loan reflects the trust that institutions have in the solidity and trajectory of the Parlem Group, as well as in its execution capacity and its ability to generate value in a highly competitive environment. In the past two years, the company has registered a 49% increase in revenue—rising from €33.4 million in 2022 to €49.7 million in 2024—and improved recurring EBITDA by €7.4 million, from -€1.9 million to €5.5 million.

With this new operation, Parlem reaffirms its commitment to growth and innovation and continues to move forward in consolidating its position as a key player in the concentration and development process of the telecommunications sector in Catalonia and Spain.
