L.A.N.D. supports companies planning new productive investments in Lombardy, providing financing for the establishment of new operations and business activities in the region.
The new instrument is designed to strengthen the attractiveness and competitiveness of the Lombardy region by facilitating the establishment of new business activities and operational sites.
It targets capital companies, including businesses based outside the region, planning to establish a new presence in Lombardy or set up a dedicated NewCo.
L.A.N.D. supports investment programmes with a minimum value of €10 million, with Finlombarda financing ranging from €1 million to €15 million.
Eligible projects cover a range of sectors, including manufacturing, logistics, data centres, accommodation and student housing, residential care, scientific research and R&D, and business services.
The financing can support both tangible and intangible investments required to establish the new operation, including construction works and the acquisition of land or existing buildings. Working capital linked to the investment programme may also be financed, up to the applicable limit.
Financing is available through unsecured or mortgage-backed facilities, with maturities reflecting the characteristics of the investment project. The initiative is intended to provide companies undertaking substantial new investments with an additional source of long-term financing, complementing private-sector funding.
Through L.A.N.D., Finlombarda is contributing to Lombardy’s investment attraction strategy while strengthening the role of promotional finance in supporting productive investment and regional economic development.
The initiative forms part of Finlombarda’s broader activities as the financial company of the Lombardy Region, supporting businesses and investment projects through tailored financial instruments.
“We want Lombardy to become an increasingly attractive and competitive region, both nationally and internationally, by encouraging the development of new projects, attracting talent, and promoting the excellence that makes our region a benchmark in Europe. Strengthening the attractiveness of our region means creating new opportunities, fostering sustainable development, and ensuring widespread prosperity,” said Andrea Mascetti, Chairman of Finlombarda and EAPB Board Member.
