Finlombarda Online event "Financing Development. The tools to face the crisis"

On January 26, 2021, Finlombarda Spa, Regional promotional company of the Lombardy Region, organized its event entitled: "Finanziamo Sviluppo. Gli strumenti per fronteggiare la crisi - Financing Development. The tools to face the crisis". The event featured the interventions of the President of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana, and the Regional Councillor for Budget and Finance, Davide Carlo Caparini, and registered more than 200 participants coming from institutions of the economic-financial world, professional and industrial and artisan associations as well as regional promotional agencies. During the meeting, the new brand of Finlombarda Spa, which this year celebrates its 50th year of activity, was launched.

"Lombardy stands ready with projects worth a total of € 36 billion to be implemented as part of the Recovery Plan, which includes the areas of digitization, major infrastructure and green development and in whose implementation Finlombarda will play an important role," said Attilio Fontana, President of the Lombardy Region.

"Our task is to spend the available financial resources effectively and efficiently. The Lombardy Region has fielded € 4 billion within the framework of the Lombardy Plan, capable of mobilizing up to € 8 billion in public commitments. Finlombarda, as a regional promotional company, is a useful tool to create synergy between public and private resources to the total benefit of the companies in our territory", said Davide Carlo Caparini, Regional Councillor for Budget and Finance.

After the institutional greetings, the President of Finlombarda Spa, Michele Vietti, intervened at the opening by stressing that: "In the current moment of economic emergency, in order for the Country as a whole to return to growth in terms of productivity and competitiveness, a synergic action is necessary from all the actors of the economic, social and institutional world. Only together we can achieve our goals, in a coordinated effort with everyone playing their part in the widespread distribution network essential to convey the extraordinary resources of the Recovery Plan from Europe to our entrepreneurs in the territory, avoiding waste, dispersion and inefficiency.
