KommuneKredit's AAA rating affirmed by Standard & Poor's
22 June 2021The credit rating agency, Standard & Poor’s, has announced its annual credit rating of KommuneKredit in which they affirm the company’s AAA rating. The outlook is stable.
In its credit rating, Standard & Poor’s places special emphasis on:
- Very high credit quality in the municipal and regional sector, which is expected to continue despite the economic uncertainty in the light of COVID-19.
- KommuneKredit’s very strong liquidity and funding profile.
- KommuneKredit’s very strong capitalization.
In connection with the credit rating, the CEO of KommuneKredit, Jens Lundager, says:
“I am very happy that KommuneKredit maintains its AAA rating with Standard & Poor’s – just as expected. In addition, Standard & Poor's has revised upwards their assessment of our liquidity profile, so that it now receives the highest possible assessment thus cementing our AAA rating. Municipalities and regions can count on us always being able to provide attractive conditions of financing and support their necessary investments, also when it comes to the green transition."
