Mahesh Daswani - New EAPB Adviser for Banking Regulation and Capital Markets Policy

We would like to inform you that we have the pleasure of welcoming Mahesh Daswani Khiani as the new adviser for Banking Regulation and Capital Markets Policy at the European Association of Public Banks.


Mahesh looks back at operational experience at Credit Suisse (Private Banking) in Luxembourg as a Business Risk Manager where among others he was responsible of defining, rolling out and maintaining the control framework on Front activities. Previously he worked at Clearstream Luxembourg (International Central Securities Depository) in charge of outsourcing and controls, as well as at Atlantic Traders (Sector consumer goods wholesale and distribution) as a financial department associate.

He has obtained an MSc Banking and Finance at the University of Essex, UK, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Administration at the University of La Laguna, Spain, and he participated in the BBVA Bancomer Wealth Management Program, New York, USA.

He is a Spanish national and speaks Spanish (mother tongue) as well as English and French fluently.

Mahesh succeeds to Farid Aliyev, who has left EAPB in November of 2021. He started at EAPB on 14 February 2022 and will introduce himself formally on the occasion of our future Committee and General Assembly meetings. He will be in touch with you bilaterally on the respective policy files in the mean time.
