Internal Communication Team of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego has a successful track record, including the campaign #It’sChildlishlySimple that promoted the values of the bank: openness, team work and responsibility. This is the only Polish project appreciated by Internal Communication and Engagement Awards, the competition organized by Communicate Magazine. BGK received gold in the category: best internal communications from the financial services sector. During an official gala in London the award was presented to Piotr Miller – an expert in internal communication and the project leader, and Edyta Blachowska, an ICT manager.

#It’sChildishlySimple campaign was created for the employees to better understand the values of BGK. For 7 days, on internal TV titled Values Week, the employees and their children presented how they understand openness, team work and responsibility through cost-free projects that they prepared together. Among others, there was a theater, TV interview and songs. Additionally, the daughter of one of the employees interviewed the management board.

Internal Communication and Engagement Awards is not the first award for #It’sChildishlySimple. The campaign was also shortlisted in Digital Communication Award in the internal communication category, European Excellence Award in the changes category, and it was honored with the distinction in Polish competition Employer Branding Excellence Award in the internal campaign category.

“These awards are the result of work of the entire ICT – ingenuity, campaign implementation and achieved results. I am glad that we engage employees via such projects. We know our target group and we know in which way and via which channels to reach it – using modern and creative solutions” – Edyta Blachowska, the manager of Internal Communication Team in Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, said.

Moreover, this year Internal Communication Team received gold in Global Eventex Awards competition in green event category for the Employee’s Day. Sustainable development was the main theme of last year’s employees’ celebration. Projection was used instead of banner print-outs in scenography. For the stage, plywood (that was also reused at other events) was used. Flowers were rented for room decoration, and the employees made beehives from the materials from the scenography.
